The Defender’s mission is to help the residents of Martin County, Florida to be better informed citizens. It follows humbly in the grand American  tradition of activist socio-political pamphleteering, finding facts and expressing even uncomfortable truths about local public issues.

We make use of internet e-mail to distribute several thousand free copies of each issue. Publication frequency is roughly weekly, but there is no fixed schedule. We speak up when there is something to be said.

The editor and founder of the non-commercial Defender is Al Forman. He is a retiree who has spent a lifetime as editor and publisher of commercial and technical magazines and newsletters.

This website functions as an archive of current and past issues. In addition, through the list below of links to key Martin-related websites, we hope to encourage readers to pursue other sources of information as well.
